The “spot treatment”
This method involves direct application of Dr. Tank Algae Control onto affected areas using a syringe or a dropper. Use the following steps when doing a spot treatment:
Turn off filters and any airstones to prevent any Dr. Tank Algae Control from being diluted and dispersed too quickly.
Using a syringe needle, carefully apply the Dr. Tank Algae Control directly to the algae.
Leave for an hour so the Dr. Tank Algae Control can work on the algae.
Turn your filters and pumps back on.
Repeat the spot treatment as needed, usually every few days, until the algae is gone.
Whole tank application
Apply recommended dosage and after 1 hour, do a 50% water change. Repeat consecutively for 3 days.
Local spray application
Use 1/3 of recommended dosage, further dilute up to 10 times. Turn off the filter for 5mins and spray to algae infested areas. after 1 hour, do a 50% water change
Algae prevention operation
Use 1/2 of recommended dosage, add to the aquarium at 1 hour before water change.
